The ARC Mate Sr. comes equipped with a high-rigidity, easy to maintain mechanical unit which was designed
with the ARC Mate, daughter machine, featuring low cost, high performance together.
It is controlled by the newly developed R-G2 controller with the digital servo systems to contribute to Factory automation today and on into the future.
Superlative mechanical rigidity has been attained by directly coupling the reducer with the output axis with lighter weight achieving +/-0.1 mm repeatability.
To permit full use of the large envelope, it can be freely installed on the floor, on an angle or upside-down.
All 6-axes have brakes and the absolute position detection system. The robot keeps posture even at an emergency stop or after power off, and eliminates the need for zero return operations even after power on. Therefore the ARC Mate Sr can be started automatically even in the limited operating area.
The adoption of a digital servo system has resulted in high-speed movement, shorter positioning time and improved path accuracy.
The ARC Mate Sr features a totally maintenance-free structure.
Adoption of the AC servo motors entirely eliminated the motor brush maintenance.
Easy to maintain by eliminating the mechanical consumable parts like chains and belts from the drive system.
A unique rotary-axis cable treatment method ( patent pending ) has been adopted which dramatically extends the service life of the cables.
