FANUC Robot Controller - R Model F

The ' Fanuc R model F ' robot controller has the capability of controlling from 3 to 6 axis on the robot mechaincal unit, providing multi-axis simultaneous motion.

In addition to 6 robot axis, the controller has the capacity to control a number of additional axis. Additional axis can be used to extend the robot work area in the form of linear bases or gantries, but can also perform other simultaneous positioning functions such as welding manipulators and door / boot / hood openers.

The controller offers linear and circular motion path types.

The controller has a sophisticated operators panel, and is most likely to be fitted with a yellow screen CRT and Keyboard for program editing.

The teach pendant comprises a multi-line LCD display, some LED status indicators and a large flat keyboard. The teach pendant is characterised by its flat square look, aluminium body, and yellow ' Deadmans Handle ' in the carrying handle.

Inside the controller, a passive ( without electronic components ) backplane PCB supports a number of daugher PCB's mounted in a rack. Up to 9 amplifiers for the servo motors are mounted inside the cabinet.

Programs written in ' Karel ' language and are stored in non-volatile ( programs are retained during power off periods ) Bubble Memory. User software packages and Fanuc supplied packages such as Spot Tool can simplify programming.

Various robot models provide absolute and incremental positioning systems.

The robot has the capability to work with vision systems if required.
