FANUC Robot Controller - R Model A / B |
The ' Fanuc R model A ' or ' R model B ' robot controllers are the most basic in the range, controlling one axis of the robot at a time, and switching control to another axis after the first axis motion is complete. Controllers of this type have been used with a restricted range of robots including : M0, M1, M2 and Colchester Lathes integrated Robot. The controller has a limited number of operator push buttons on the front panel. The teach pendant comprises a single line 7 segment red LED display, a few LED status indicators and a small keyboard. The teach pendant is characterised by the Honda 50 pin connector through which connection to the controller takes place. Inside the controller, a mother PCB and occasionally a daugher PCB mounted directly on the mother PCB, provide the neccessary computing power. A single amplifier for the servo motors is supplemented with a relay change over switching unit to control up to 3 servo motors. Programs are stored in static RAM memory with batteries to retain programs during power off periods. Robots must be sent to their Home position before automatic operation can be started. |
